Healthwatch Derbyshire are running a consultation about changes to health appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the start of the pandemic lockdown changes were made to health appointments to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Changes included restrictions to face-to-face appointments and the expansion of telephone/video appointments, online correspondence, text messaging – ‘virtual health appointments’.
Services in Derbyshire appreciate that virtual appointments may be more challenging or not appropriate for some people. Healthwatch want to understand more about the experience for those affected. The development of virtual health appointments in Derbyshire is ongoing, so now is the right time for service providers to hear and understand their patients voice to then appropriately shape their future appointment provision.
• Have you or the person you support struggled with a virtual appointment during Covid-19?
• Have you delayed seeking medical advice on a virtual basis and are waiting until you can arrange a face-to-face appointment?
• Do or the person you care for have difficulties in accessing a virtual appointment?
