Derbyshire Autism Alliance Group

Derbyshire Autism Alliance Group

Event Date: April 21 2021

Event Location: Online meeting - Zoom

The third meeting of Derbyshire's Autism Alliance will be taking place on Wednesday 21 April at 3pm via Zoom.

The Alliance is a collaborative venture between Autism Information & Advice and Living Well with Autism.

The meetings will be an informal safe space where individuals living with Autism, parents/carers/friends/family and professionals can come together to share their experiences of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) benefit from peer support, meet a guest speaker, learn a little more about ASC and feed into services available in Derbyshire.

It is open to anyone aged 16+ living in Derbyshire County and Derby City and meetings will be chaired by a team member from each service. The meetings will take place quarterly and additional breakout meetings or events will also be organised should the demand be there.

To book onto the meetings, please call 01332 228 790 or email autismservice@citizensadvicemidmercia.org.uk and you will be given the Zoom meeting login details.

Whilst these meetings will feed into how services are developed in Derbyshire, the tone and nature of the meetings will be considerably different to that of the Autism Partnership Board meetings - they are aimed at peer support and the development of a community network for individuals living with ASC. Professionals are therefore more than welcome, but please take note of the nature of the meetings.

Please see the attached leaflet for this new provision inlcuding future dates .
