Healthwatch have worked with local health organisations and the Learning Disability Carers Community to develop a new 'top tips' guide for carers of people with learning disabilities:

Top Tips for Carers of People with a Learning Disability in Derbyshire

The guide is intended to provide information for learning disability carers regarding access to health and social care services for the cared for person. There is also some additional information about carers rights and support.

The Top Tips guide covers health appointments and referrals, learning disability annual health checks and where to get support and advice.
