Wanted: Paid Expert Learning Disability and/or Autism Advisers

Inclusion North Care and Treatment Review (CTR) Hub are working with Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to recruit and train expert advisers in Derbyshire.

Expert advisers are people with lived experience of a learning disability, autism or both, including family members and carers. Adviors attend Care and Treatment Reviews (CTRs) as independent experts and are paid to do this work.

Inclusion North are holding an introduction workshop on Friday 23 February in South Normanton from 10am to 3pm.

Who are they looking for?

They are looking for adults and young people with a learning disability, autism or both who have:

  • had treatment in a specialist learning disability assessment and treatment unit
  • been supported by crisis support teams
  • been in a secure hospital or locked rehabilitation service
  • used local mental health services, both in the community and hospital.

They are also looking for family members or carers of people with learning disabilities and/or autism who have experiences in the services described above.
